Conquer Chiari Walk Across America Is Coming To Central Maine

I'm truly amazed at the amount of people who have contacted me since I started sharing my journey with Chiari Malformation.  So, since I am out of work, I have decided to take this opportunity to organize the national Conquer Chiari Walk Acros America and bring it to Central Maine.

Do you or someone you know have chiari?  Then you want to participate in this walk.  It will be September 17th.  Walk starts at 10am.  More information will come as we get closer to the date, including the walk location (definitely Waterville area).  But, I have some secrets up my sleeve that are pretty darn exciting.  As soon as I confirm them, you will be the first to know.

It's scary when you are diagnosed with something that makes your doctor scratch their head and say 'Huh'.  The purpose of this walk is to spread awareness about Chiari, not only to the people, but to the medical community.  I had to travel to New York to get the proper care.  It just so happens, September is Chiari Awareness Month.

Please share this event.  There are many people who might have chiari and don't even realize it.  I was diagnosed with PMDD for years before I finally discovered my true disease.  Within the last 10 years, Chiari has been taken off the rare disease list.  Awareness is key.
