Country News: Carrie Underwood Getting Star in Hollywood

Carrie Underwood will be getting a star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, class of 2018. Eight other musicians will receive stars too but Underwood is the only country artist among them. Some others receiving their stars will be Harry Connick Jr., Snoop Dogg, Weird All Yankovich and Petula Clark. According to the theboot.com Underwood’s former judge on American Idol, Simon Cowell will get a star too.

According to theboot.com Chris Stapleton took the splint off his finger and got back to playing his guitar. He’s had to postpone several shows because of the injury that occurred last month. It was never made clear how he injured his finger but was serious enough for him to have to cancel and reshuffle his concert dates.

On August 11 Jason Aldean will return to his hometown of Macon, Georgia for the second annual Concert for the Kids. On theboot.com the benefit concert is for a children’s hospital in Georgia. The first event, kicked off in 2016, raised over $500,000. Because of the turnout last year, Aldean has moved the concert to a bigger venue this year, the Macon Coliseum. Aldean has over 30 dates remaining on his They Don’t Know Tour. He has sold more than 15 million albums throughout his career and is often motivated to give back.
