Country News: Chris Janson Joins Opry

Chris Janson will be joining the Grand Ole Opry as he was invited to be a member of the organization on Monday night. According to theboot.com Janson was invited during a sold out show at the Ryman Auditorium by Keith Urban. Janson and Urban were on stage singing a duet of John Michael Montgomery’s Sold and after the performance Urban delivered the news.

Speaking of being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, on theboot.com they tell us it was 42 years ago yesterday (Feb. 6) that Ronnie Milsap became a member. Milsap was just beginning to dominate the charts and was getting ready to release his 8^th studio album. Milsap was 33 years old when he joined the Opry.
