Gordie Tapp, a Canadian comedian and musician known for playing Cousin Clem on Hee Haw, has died. He was 94 years old. Reports are that Tapp passed away in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, on Sunday due to complications from pneumonia.

Willie Nelson & Family will perform at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium in early 2017 where he hasn’t played since the 1970’s. Nelson & Family will perform an intimate concert at the Auditorium on January 7 the country icon’s first at the venue since Oct. 20, 1974. The Auditorium, which seats just 2,000 people was the site of Charlie Daniels‘ first-ever Volunteer Jam in October of 1974 and, more recently, featured in Carrie Underwood‘s ‘Don’t Forget to Remember Me’ music video.

 

Andrew Dorff, a well-known and awarded country songwriter, has died. Dorff was 40 years old just celebrating his birthday on December 16. The sad news of Dorff’s death was released early Tuesday morning. His best-known songs include Blake Shelton‘s ‘My Eyes’ and ‘Neon Light;’ Kenny Chesney‘s ‘Save It for a Rainy Day’ and Hunter Hayes‘ ‘Somebody’s Heartbreak’, all Number 1 songs.
