Country News: Garth Headed to Philly
Trace Adkins has signed on for a role in the new movie I Can Only Imagine. The film is being based on the hit song of the same name by Christian group MercyMe.
Adkins will share the screen with Cloris Leachman and Dennis Quaid; in late January, the singer shared on Instagram a photo of himself and Quaid that was snapped on set. The movie is set for release in the spring of 2018.
Willie Nelson will release a new studio album, ‘God’s Problem Child’, later this spring. The record will contain 13 new songs. ‘God’s Problem Child’ is set for release on April 28, just one day before the country icon’s 84th birthday. It will be the singer’s first project of all-new songs since Band of Brothers was released in 2014.
Garth Brooks has announced a new World Tour Stop: Philadelphia, Pa. The country star will head to the City of Brotherly Love in late March. Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood will perform at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on March 25 at 7PM. It will be Brooks’ first time back in Philly in 19 years.
