Country News: Hank Jr. Back on Monday Night Football

Hank Williams Jr. will return to Monday Night Football this season. He will once again do the opening of ‘Are you ready for some football?’ Six year ago ESPN fired Williams because of remarks he made about President Obama but they now say that bygones are bygones. On tasteofcountry.com it seems everyone has made amends. During an interview with Nashville’s daily newspaper, the singer spoke with rarely-seen enthusiasm about coming back and mentioned nothing of the controversy.

Lee Brice and wife Sara welcomed a baby girl into the world on Friday, June 2. According to people.com, Trulee Nanette Brice was born in Nashville weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz., and measured 20 inches. The baby girl joins brothers Ryker and Takoda.

The CMT awards are set for June 7 and some of the performers for the evening have been announce. According to tasteofcountry.com Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, and Brett Eldredge are on the list so far. There will be a special tribute to the late Gregg Allman who passed away last month.
