Singer Holly Dunn, best known for a string of hits in the 1980s, including ‘Daddy’s Hands’ has passed away after a battle with cancer. Dunn had been battling a rare, aggressive form of ovarian cancer. News came out Tuesday morning saying the former country hitmaker passed away in the early morning hours. She was 59 years old.

George Strait returns to the small stage in Texas on tonight (Wednesday Nov. 16) with his Ace in the Hole Band for a historic night of music in celebration of his upcoming Strait Out of the Box: Part 2 release. The event will take place at an unnamed Texas dancehall, sending Strait back to his roots. This is the legend’s official album release show, and although it’s not open to the public, it will be livestreamed starting at 7PM CT via Strait.WranglerNetwork.com.

Craig Campbell's "Outskirts of Heaven" is a powerful song, but even the singer is surprised by some of the ways his fans have attached themselves to it. In one case, the ballad literally saved a life. A fan who messaged him on Facebook to let him know how the song had moved him. He had lost his dad a couple of weeks prior, and he had actually thought about taking his own life because he just couldn’t deal with the idea of living without his dad in his life. He heard ‘Outskirts of Heaven’ and he had an immediate peaceful feeling as if his dad was saying, ‘Man, I’m good you don’t have to worry about me. I’m up here in this place, I’m fishing. I’ll see you when you get here.'
