Country News: Lady Antebellum and SpongeBob The Musical

The SpongeBob Musical will open on Broadway on December 4 and Lady Antebellum will be in the show…sort of. The country trio is contributing a song to the new show. They wrote a song called ‘Chop to the Top’ and will appear in a scene when SpongeBob and Sandy are climbing a mountain. According to tasteofcountry.com the play is about their home, Bikini Bottom, facing grave danger.

A new album coming out will be Johnny Cash poems set to music. According to rollingstone.com the project is titled ‘Johnny Cash Forever Words: The Music’ and is the brainchild of Cash’s son John Carter. Country artists like Brad Paisley, Jamey Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Jewel and others will be featured on the album. No release date yet.
