Country News: Maren Morris’ Hometown Honors Her
Maren Morris may have released a killer debut album and won a CMA in 2016, but she closed out the year by receiving a very special honor from her hometown: December 27 was declared Maren Morris Day in Arlington, Texas.
On December 27, Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams presented Morris with a plaque and proclamation in recognition of Maren Morris Day at her mother’s salon, located in downtown Arlington. The office of Texas State Representative Tony Tinderholt also presented Morris with a resolution and the flag that flew over the Texas state capitol building when she was named New Artist of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards.
Lee Brice, his wife Sara and their sons Ryker and Takoda will soon be a family of five! The singer has announced that his wife is pregnant with their third child. Brice’s first son, Takoda Brice-Reeveley, was born in 2008; Ryker Mobley Brice came along in December of 2013. Their new addition will arrive this summer.
Tim McGraw is lending his voice to a new season of CNBC’s Blue Collar Millionaires. The country superstar will narrate the second season of the television show, which is about working-class men and women who have seen big success working seemingly ordinary jobs. Season 2 of Blue Collar Millionaires is set to debut tonight (Jan. 4) on CNBC, with back-to-back episodes airing at 10PM ET and 10:30PM ET.
