Another big step in recovery for Randy Travis as he and his wife Mary that came during a road trip back to Nashville.  According to CNN while they from Memphis to Nashville, Randy saw the highway sign that said Nashville and he yelled out Woo-hoo and pointed to the sign and said ‘Nashville.’ Mary realized that he read the sign and recognized the word and said it. Mar said that is a huge step in his recovery from his 2013 stoke.

Carrie Underwood has a new record label: She sign with Universal Music Group’s Capitol Records Nashville. After Underwood won on American Idol in 2005 she signed a record deal with Arista Nashville. Now that that contract has been fulfilled, she has signed with capitol Nashville. As far as 2017 goes she says she doesn’t really have a plan for her career wanting to take some time to be with her family. According to The Boot she may do some writing and then see what she she’s ready to do.
