Dolly Parton has announced further details of her telethon to raise money for those affected by the wildfires in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Dolly Parton has lined up three big country names to help out during her ‘My People Fund’ telethon to raise money for those affected by the recent wildfires in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. In addition to Dolly, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers and Alison Krauss will join her. The benefit event will air on the Great American Country network at 8PM December 13.

Thanks to Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and McGraw’s mom, Betty Trimble, Christmas came a little early for a number of people in Macclenny, Fla. Management of a Walmart in Macclenny have confirmed that, on Tuesday, Trimble who lives nearby went to the store and paid off $5,000 worth of items in layaway for various customers on her son and daughter-in-law’s behalf. Reports are that the paid-off receipts were presented to customers along with a Christmas card from the couple which reads ‘Merry Christmas’ and is signed from McGraw and Hill.

Alan Jackson will have a busy 2017: The country icon has announced plans for his Honky Tonk Highway Tour, which will keep him on the road for much of the year. Jackson’s Honky Tonk Highway Tour is set to begin in January and so far he has shows scheduled as late as the end of October. He’ll be playing arenas and amphitheaters, as well as at a number of summer country music festivals. Lee Ann Womack will be joining Jackson at select shows.
