If you have never been to the Damariscotta, it's a beautiful place.  The ocean village really comes alive during the summer months, but for the past 6 years the Pumpkinfest and Regatta has brought this town to life!

Not only did WGME's Chief Meteorologist Charlie Lopresti win for the largest pumpkin this year, 1332 pounds, but giant pumpkins decorated the downtown by local artists. You saw some as giant bunnies, a pot of gold, an octopus and countless others. Anderson even got to play toss with the Marines!

We were able to witness the Pumpkin Regatta with one of the participants being Evette Rios from the popular cooking show The Chew. She is from New York and never thought in a million years she would be paddling a pumpkin in the cold waters off the Maine coast.

We stopped by Metcalf's Submarine Sandwiches for lunch. Had a little ice cream for dessert and then headed to the Round Top Farm Barn for the 1st Pumpkinstock that featured great food from Stove Cove Catering. Their sausages, giant pretzels, and pulled chicken sandwiches were perfect for the cool, cool evening. Stars Fine Jewelry was one of the wonderful sponsors of the Pumpkinstock and without them it wouldn't have been possible to put on such a great show! And if you're looking for a new vehicle, Newcastle Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram was the place to be this weekend for FANTASTIC deals! Another great sponsor from the neighboring town of Newcastle!

The Cahoots took the stage singing great music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. They've been around a long time and show no signs of slowing down. Then came Nikki Hunt in all her hula hooping glory. Not only fun music but their stage show was incredible. The kids loved hooping with them afterward.

Then Dixon Road took the stage for our very gig. Singing classic rock and new country, the variety was just right! We loved playing for the crowd and can't wait to see fans starting in the new year!

The Pumpkinfest ends today. If you are one of the lucky people that have today off, there is still plenty to do including the Kid's Pumpkin Hunt and The 180' Pumpkin Drop! Don't miss out and great family fun!
