Dan + Shay are releasing their sophomore album on Friday (June 3), and they'll be the subject of a TV special Friday evening for Audience Network. The duo perform a new song from the album, "How Not To," in this exclusive first look at the special.

The duo shot to fame with the release of their debut album, Where It All Began, which produced three Top 40 singles. They've sold more than 1.6 million tracks, scored more than 140 million streams and earned 31 million YouTube views. They hit No. 1 with "Nothing Like You" and earned Platinum certification from the RIAA for their debut single, "19 You + Me."

Now they're set to release a new album, Obsessed, and they'll share tracks from the project during the Dan + Shay special Friday, which airs at 8PM ET/PT on DIRECTV Ch 239/U-verse Ch 1114. The duo taped the show at Red Studios in Los Angeles, performing hits and new tracks from Obsessed. The album's first single, "From the Ground Up," is already a Top 25 hit, and they perform another new song called "How Not To" in the exclusive clip above.

Dan + Shay also sat for an interview with Ted Stryker, and they filled him in on the origins of their partnership.

"We were just two songwriters, didn't know what were doing," Dan Smyers says in the trailer below. "We just kept writing and writing and writing, and before we knew it, it was like, 'This feels right.'"

"We fell in love with country music because it told stories," Shay Mooney adds. "We just fell in love with the way it could make you feel."

The duo will join Darius Rucker on his Good For a Good Time Tour this summer, which kicks off in Tampa, Fla. on the same day they release Obsessed.

"Hearing the fans sing the words back to you, there's just nothing that can replace that," Smyers reflects. "It's unbelievable."
