New England Patriots defensive end Jermaine Cunningham will not be suiting up with the team travels to Miami to take on the Dolphins on Sunday....or the following three weeks. Cunningham, a 2010 second-round draft pick from Florida, has been suspended by the NFLfor four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Earlier this month rookie running back Brandon Bolden was suspended for the same reason. The NFL does not reveal what substances the player's are accused of taking.

Cunningham can return to the active roster on Dec. 24. That's one day after the Pat play at Jacksonville. Just last Thursday he had a season-high six tackles in the win at the New York Jets.
