We had the pleasure of talking with Debbie Myers this morning on the Morning Buzz with McCoy & Dyer.  We were talking about the upcoming 5th Annual Maine's Homeless Veterans Benefit that will be at the Augusta State Armory this Sunday starting at noon.

You can get tickets in advance for the event at Musician's 1st Choice in Augusta or Jack's Auto in Chelsea.  Tickets are $10 or $12 at the door the day of the event.  Children under 16 are $5.

Debbie Myers will start the entertainment at 1pm and will be followed by 15 other performers, including Emerald Sky, Sharon Hood Dixon Road, Debbie Morin and Nashville recording artist Jacob Smalley.  There will also be a silent auction with great items.

There are presently approximately 500+ homeless veterans in this state.  That's just the ones that have come forward.  The money raised, not only will it help house them, but it will also help supply necessities they will need for their new home.  Things we take for granted.  Come support our veterans!
