It looks like the weather will be perfect this weekend for the 13th annual Pemaquid Oyster Festival. It's an annual celebration of the working waterfront and the Damariscotta River where the Pemaquid oyster is farmed.

Last year over 12,000 oysters were served at the festival.

This year's festival is this Sunday from noon until dusk and it's free to attend.

The day will feature music, educational exhibits, boat rides and plenty of oysters harvested fresh from the Damariscotta River that morning.

Events are held at the Schooner Landing Restaurant and Marina and many near-by businesses along Main Street in Damariscotta.
