Destination Maine: The Union Fair and Wild Blueberry Festival

Fair season is rolling along and one of my favorite fairs in Maine starts this Saturday, it's the Union Fair and Wild Blueberry Festival. It will run for one week between August 16th to August 23rd.

I'll be broadcasting live from the Union Fair this Tuesday night from 7 until 9 during the Union Fair Talent Show finals.

The week long fair features harness racing, a midway, demolition derby, The Dock Dogs will be at the Union Fair, fireworks on Wednesday night and a tribute to Maine country artists with Perley Curtis and Erin Hay on Friday night.

There will be the crowning of the blueberry queen, a wild blueberry cooking contest, a wild blueberry dessert competition, a blueberry pie competition and a kids cooking contest.

Don't forget about all of the farm animals, exhibition hall, and all of the fair food!
