Destination Maine: Wilton’s 33rd Annual Blueberry Festival
The 33rd Annual Wilton Blueberry Festival is going on today and Saturday. An estimated 10,000 people are expected to enjoy the festival this weekend in Wilton. It all started in 1982 as a blueberry church bazaar and has now grown into a two-day event.
Things going on today include:
Ten authors doing readings at the Wilton Free Public Library
Book Sale
Blueberry Bazaar at the First Congregational Church with blueberry cake, coffee, crafts.
A 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer road race
Things going on Saturday:
Wilton Lions Club blueberry pancake breakfast
Parade starting at 9am
Blueberry Bake-Off from 12:30pm to 3:30pm
