Diver Encounters Big Shark While Diving Off Bar Harbor [POLL/VIDEO]

It's not something that you want to see when you're at the bottom of the ocean. But Maine diver, Eddie "Diver Ed" Monat, encountered a shark while diving in Frenchman Bay off Bar Harbor, "one of the big boys," as he described it, and he caught it on video!What makes things even creepier is that Diver Ed didn't know the shark was down there with him at first! You can see it swim near him about 30 seconds into the video. Someone on the surface alerts him that something big swam by him, and he thought it was possibly a seal until the shark appeared again close by.

He wasn't hurt and he thought the encounter was "really cool!" But would this make you think twice about going into the ocean off the Maine coast, knowing that there are big sharks out there?

Let's hope the Maine sharks have this attitude!
