We've all sang the Christmas carol 'I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas', but do you really mean it? I am a native Mainer and I really have never been a big fan of snow. Yes, I use to love to go sledding when I was a kid, we'd go behind the Cote's house on Pettingill Street in Lewiston. Sometimes, we'd go to the hill across from Bates College and go sledding.I tried to learn to ice skate and that never worked out and I never really learned to ski or could afford a snowmobile. Now, that I am in my 40's, I don't enjoy shoveling snow and my little Sentra isn't very good in the white stuff.

I think I am in the minority, but I really would prefer a brown Christmas, okay, maybe a inch or so of snow, then a major January thaw!

I understand that snow is very important to the Maine economy, with the ski areas, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and there is something peaceful in watching a gentle snowfall.

I do love Maine and do my best to get through winter, but I will always prefer, to quote Joe Nichols, 'Sunny and 75'.

So, I want to hear from you. Do you prefer a White Christmas or the less snow the better? Take our poll below!
