Dogs can be heroes too!  Yolanda, a service dog in Philadelphia, called 911 after a fire broke out in her home.  Thanks to the help of a special phone and Yolanda's training, firefighters were able to respond quickly and put the fire out.  According to WPXI, this isn't Yolanda's first time calling 911.

As someone who is very familiar with how truly helpful a service dog can be, I find this video beautiful.  My mom has had 2 service dogs.  I will never forget one incident with her first dog, Queeg.  We were at L.L. Bean and it was crowded.  My daughter was about 2 years old, maybe 3.  I was holding her hand and she pulled away from me and ran through the crowd at something she saw.  Queeg, without skipping a beat and breaking all of his rules, broke away from my mom and squirmed just as quickly through the crowd and stopped her.  He stayed next to her until I could get to her.
