Shooting Under Investigation in Dover-Foxcroft

Early this morning (April 22) Dover-Foxcroft Police officers arrived at an apparent shooting on Lancaster Avenue. Two men had to be transported to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, while another was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Bangor to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Police have not yet released the names of the men. None of their injuries are considered life-threatening.

According to the Bangor Daily News the weapon involved was a .22-caliber rifle. Police have an idea who the shooter may have been but are still investigating the matter. Also, a motive for the incident is still unclear.
