As summer winds down and fall arrives, you certainly can feel that chill in the morning air and the hint of the leaves starting to change colors. The kids are back in school and weekends are even that more important to take time with the family and this Saturday is Open Lighthouse Day in Maine.

The U.S. Coast Guard, the State of Maine and the American Lighthouse Foundation announce that this Saturday,September 15th is the 4th annual Maine Open Lighthouse Day. Last year, hundreds of people visited lighthouses along the Maine coast in the largest effort of its kind in the nation. Explore Maine's lighthouses and learn about their rich history and heritage.
