Did your Facebook ask you to resign in on Thursday Sept 27? If so, you may be one of the millions of people that were involved in the hack. According to the New York Times, an attack on Facebook's network made nearly 50 million accounts personal information available. The hackers apparently found a flaw in Facebook's code that allowed them to gain access to users accounts. The good news is the vulnerability has been fixed and law enforcement agencies have been notified.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said they're taking the threat very seriously. However, the investigation is in the early stages and so far, no leads as to who the hackers were has been discovered. If at any time in recent days you have been asked to log into Facebook on a device you were previously logged into, for instance, your cell phone, be sure to change your password immediately.
