This winter has been historic. Record snowfall amounts in a short span of time. That has prompted Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker to declare a snow disaster and mobilized the Massachusetts National Guard to assist with clearing all that snow.

Governor Baker also requested help from other states and Maine is stepping up to the plate.

Governor Paul LePage is sending fifty members of the Maine Army National Guard and equipment that include dump trucks, bucket loaders and bobcats.

The Governors from New York, New Jersey and Vermont are also sending personal and equipment.
