Maickel Melamed, from Venezuela, was the last person to cross the finish line in the Boston Marathon that started yesterday.  After 20 hours and down pouring rain, Melamed finally crossed the line at 4:19am this morning.   The 39-year-old suffers from muscular dystrophy and was surrounded by supporters as he took the final steps to victory.

Melamed has participated in 5 marathons to help raise awareness for Muscular Dystrophy and to help educate children in Venezuela.  Melamed announced this was his final marathon.
