Wanna find out how smart you are without taking an I.Q. test?

Robert Plomin, a behavioral geneticist, says that’s exactly what’s coming. Now you have to take an I.Q. test to see how smart (or dumb) you are, but now a more than 500 genes have been linked to intelligence so a DNA test will be able tell your I.Q.

The discovery means we can now read the DNA of a young child and get a notion of how intelligent he or she will be.

As of now the predictions aren't that accurate but they are getting close. Educators are saying we shouldn't use DNA tests to evaluate kids I.Q.'s.

According to technologyreview.com tests have shown that genetics accounts for more than half of intelligence but the rest is due to schooling, diet and environmental factors.
