First Lady Ann LePage Takes a Summer Job As a Waitress
According to the Maine Department of Labor, more than 10,000 seasonal employees are hired in Maine every year to work at restaurants and bars. And First Lady Ann LePage is no different.
At McSeagull's in Boothbay Harbor has taken a waitress job for the summer hoping to make enough money to buy a new car. She says it something she always wanted to do, so she’s doing it.
Customers said she looked familiar but had no idea it was the First Lady of Maine.
They may be the first family, but when it comes to household income, they're down on the list. According to US Census data, the average yearly income for a married-couple family in Maine is about $87,000. As governor, LePage gets a salary of $70,000, making him the lowest paid governor in the country.
Her manager is giving her rave reviews saying she's an amazing employee and loves having her on board.
