First Lady Ann LePage will host the Excellence in Maine Visual and Performing Arts Education reception on Tuesday, April 26th at the Hall of Flags at the State House in Augusta.

First Lady LePage in partnership with the Maine Department of Education and the Maine Art Commission will exhibit of more than 60 pieces of student visual art throughout the capitol complex.

Sixty-three students from MSAD #51 (Cumberland/North Yarmouth), RSU 3 (Unity), and AOS 91 (Mt. Desert Island), will have their artwork displayed through the end of May. The excellence in Amine Visual and Performing Arts Education is a rotating exhibit that displays artwork the Statehouse Complex and the Department of Education in the Cross Building.

Mrs. LePage will be presenting each art student a certificate and a letter from Governor Paul R. LePage recognizing the talent of Maine students.
