Former President, George W. Bush, started his annual 100K, or 62 miles, bike ride to support wounded vets. The ride kicked off Thursday, April 30th from his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Joining the President are 20 members of the service. It’s the fifth annual bike ride that spans three days and is part of the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative. Bush said riding across the deserts of Texas with wounded warriors shows the character of our men and women in uniform.

He said despite being dealt a severe blow, they won't let it tear them down.
