Police in Gardiner are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an early-morning shooting on Spring Street.

According to a report on WCSH6.com, police are looking for Paul Coyne, 30. He is believed to be driving a silver Chevy Impala, with a tag number of 6178TN. The report described Coyne as a white male, 5'10", 170 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

Gardiner Police Chief James Toman told WCSH that the victim, who was not identified, was shot in the leg at about 12:20 a.m. and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. The WCSH report also said that Toman added that Coyne is a convicted felon and is wanted on other charges.
