During his press conference Thursday (July 10), Garth Brooks will reportedly be announcing a major tour and a new album to be released with promotional help from Sony Nashville.

Billboard reports the size and scope of the superstar's comeback will be enormous, saying he's looking to be country music's "top dog" once again. The album will be marketed and promoted by Sony Nashville (home to Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert), but it's not clear if Brooks will officially be a Sony artist. Previous records have been released on his own Pearl Records (with promotional support from Big Machine), and prior to that, Capitol Nashville.

The tour will feel familiar to Brooks fans, sources tell Billboard. Tickets will be inexpensive compared to modern day prices. He'll go worldwide, with stops planned for two to three years.

The official press conference is scheduled for 12PM ET Thursday. It can be streamed via his official website.
