Garth Brooks has booked two new dates at his favorite Las Vegas haunt -- the Wynn Las Vegas -- in early January. While the country music legend has done several years worth of insanely successful solo residencies at the Encore Theater, these two dates will be extra special.

That's because the shows will feature the star's backing band and pull from his musical catalog.

Brooks enjoyed four years' worth of sold-out, one-man shows, which were a tribute to his influences, and he will return to the stage for two nights in early 2014. The 'Garth Brooks: The Man, His Band and His Music' gigs are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 3 and Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at 7 and 10:30PM.

The icon, who starred in a TV special that aired on Black Friday and was a ratings bonanza, is understandably stoked about playing with his band in Vegas.

"I’ve been itching for the chance to bring my band to Vegas to play this room," Brooks shares. "I can’t wait. Steve Wynn told me I could use the theater anytime. I asked him when I could start and his response was, 'How about New Year’s Eve?'"

Adds the star, "I don’t know if this will happen again. So, I am taking Mr. Wynn up on his offer. Will there be something else down the road? Who knows! I’m just going to enjoy getting to turn it up in Las Vegas and play with the band again."

So while Brooks can't commit to these shows being the only two gigs he does with a backing band, it's still a hot ticket.

These New Year's Eve weekend gigs will be comprised of his personal hits, and he will play them backed by the full complement of his band, which translates to very good news for Garth Brooks fans that nab tickets to the shows.

Tickets go on sale here on Dec. 6 at 10AM PT with a $200 price tag (taxes and fees not included).
