For the third week in a row, Mainers will be paying less for gasoline.

According to the price monitoring site Gas Buddy, the average price for a gallon of gas this week in Maine is at $2.253, which is down from last weeks average price of $2.268.

Nationally, the average price for a gallon of gas is at $2.290 a gallon, which is down from last weeks national average of $2.297.

We searched locally for the lowest gas prices in Central Maine, and in Augusta, the lowest price we could find was at the Irving Station 25 Western Ave which reported gas at $2.17 a gallon.

In Waterville, six different gas stations reported gas at $2.25 a gallon. You can see the list here.
