For the second week in a row, gas prices have dropped both nationally and here in Maine.

According to the price monitoring site Gas Buddy, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is now $2.370 a gallon, which is down more than 2 cents from last weeks average of $2.394.

The national average price for a gallon of gas dropped more than 3 cents from last weeks average price of $2.304 to this weeks average of $2.265.

Locally, the lowest price found in Augusta was at the Irving Store on Western Ave which is selling gas at $2.32 a gallon. In Waterville, the lowest prices found were at the Cumberland Farms on College Ave and the Shell Station on KMD, both of which are reporting gas prices at $2.27 a gallon.
