Gas Under $2 A Gallon Found In Central Maine

Gas prices have dropped steadily for over the past year, and something that many thought they would never see again, gasoline for under $2 a gallon has now been found in central Maine.

According to GasBuddy.com, around a dozen gas stations are reporting gas for just under $2 a gallon and a few area right here in central Maine. A gas station in China, Augusta and Whitefield have all reported a gas station with gas for either $1.99 or $1.98 a gallon.

The statewide average is at $2.16 a gallon, the national average is at $2.05 a gallon.

27 states have an average under $2 a gallon and Georgia has an average right at $2 a gallon. Missouri has the country's lowest average gas prices at $1.748 a gallon.
