This Sunday is the 19th annual Gene and Lucille Letourneau Ice fishing Derby at the Muskie Center in Waterville.

This is family event is attracts sportsmen throughout the state to compete for prizes for the largest catch in several categories.

The fishing derby helps support Meals on Wheels as it continues to grow. Last year the Muskie Center cooked, prepared, and delivered more than 205,000 nutritious meals to over 1,600 homebound seniors and disabled adults. The Gene and Lucille Letourneau Ice Fishing Derby helps assure that no senior in your neighborhood goes hungry while promoting your business!

You need to get a ticket in advance for each fish you bring in for weighing. It’s open to all Maine lakes with a weigh-in deadline of 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Muskie Center on Gold Street in Waterville.
