George Jones Says 2013 Tour Will Be His Last

Another country legend has decided to hang up his spurs or in this case his guitar. George Jones announced 2013 will be his last year of touring. (Earlier this year George Strait announced his retirement from touring.) In 2012 ‘The Possum’ had to cancel many tour dates because of an upper respiratory infection, but is back to what he loves, performing.  

His final tour will be named the ‘Grand Tour’, after his 1974 #1 hit. The plans are for a 60 city tour but cities and dates haven’t been announced yet. An album is planned with Dolly Parton, who is currettly writing songs for George.
