I like getting them, I like giving them, I have a love affair with gift cards. I know some people feel they are just too impersonal, but they sure do fill a void when you have no idea what to get someone. Now that the holiday season is here and gift buying is in full gear gift cards become an even more attractive purchase for those hard to buy for or last minute needs. Scammers have also noticed the convenience of gift cards and that has caused a stir in retailers to come up with policies to make it safer for us consumers. Target, Walmart and Best Buy have all taken steps to place limits on store-branded gift cards in a single transaction or how much can be loaded onto the cards.
