Give a Hissing Cockroach for Valentine’s Day
Just in time for Valentine's Day for the person who has an ‘ex’ sweetheart, adopt a hissing cockroach or scorpion from the San Francisco Zoo.
If your heart has been broken, adopt, and the zoo will send a notification to the person who broke it, if you wish.
There is a $25 donation to get a Madagascar hissing cockroach or a hairy scorpion if you have felt the sting of love lost. The money goes to a good cause, to help support research and conservation efforts.
There is an urban legend about giving the gift of a scorpion; it serves as permanent protection against future romantic stings.
