Gravestones In China Cemetary Are Vandalized

Police are investigating the vandalism to several gravestones at the Pleasant View Ridge Cemetery in China, Maine.

The vandalism was discovered by a maintenance worker at the cemetery. The vandalism included vulgar and obscene words that were spray-painted on eight headstones. There were also phrases like 'no heaven' and 'Lucifer is watching'. Many of the gravestones that were vandalized were from the 19th and 20th centuries.

The city is looking into repairs and costs to do so.
