Great Maine Outdoor Weekend This Friday, Saturday And Sunday

The Maine Outdoor Coalition presents The Great Maine Outdoor Weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday with over one-hundred events scheduled through the state. Closer to home here are a few things that will be going on.

The Maine Pond Hockey Classic at the Snow Pond Center for the Arts in Sidney.

Ski FREE! at Quarry Road Rec Area in Waterville, with a free family pass for the day to enjoy cross-country skiing on miles of groomed trails — all are welcome, rentals available. Don't Ski? Bring a sled instead.

Take a Track Tromp with an L.C. Bates guide in Hinckley to explore signs of wintertime animal life. Come out for a fun day of programs including a guided snowshoe-winter walk through Vaughan Woods, then stick around afterwards for a Sledding Party out in the field on the homestead.

Snowshoe Hike at Lake George Regional Park and explore the hills and trails surrounding this excellent park near Skowhegan.
