A Great White juvenile shark approximately 7-foot long, was  trying to catch a seagull near a barrier breach on a beach on the shore of Cape Cod, ended up beaching itself.

When bystanders saw the beached Great White, they started pouring buckets of water on the shark in an effort to keep it alive.  The shark was lying upside down and struggling to breath and was in bad shape.

A harbor patrol boat came to the recuse when a man tied a rope around its fin and the other to the small boat. It took an hour, but the shark was slowly towed back to the ocean. Before it was towed back to sea it was tagged by the Marine Fisheries.
