Great White Shark Seen Off The Coast Of Moody Beach

A charter vessel reported seeing a great white shark off the coast of Moody Beach in Wells this Saturday afternoon. The sighting was about 1.2 miles off the coast.

The Wells harbormaster searched for the shark but was not able to confirm the sighting.

Police said that great white shark sightings off the Maine cost are not rare, but are abnormal for the month of June.
