GrowSmart Maine has moved. The organization works with rural towns around the state to promote economic development without losing their hometown character.

The move was from Portland to Main Street in Gardiner. There were two reasons for the move: One, is because the rent is much cheaper in Gardiner than it was in Portland ($400 a month as compared to $1,200) and Two, the group’ mission is to work with rural Maine towns that are trying to attract economic development without losing their character so being more centrally located makes sense.

GrowSmart was also attracted to downtown Gardiner and to the co-working space in particular.
