For the majority of Major League Baseball, the season starts today. Fans of teams all over the country have hop that this will be the year. Our team, Boston, was proof of that last season, after a disastrous 2012 season they won it all last year. Some of my favorite summer memories involve baseball, from being a kid and my Dad and I watching the Auburn Aces play in the Twilight League with games at Pettingill Park in Auburn and Deering Oaks in Portland. That league had some great players with future major league players like Billy Swift and Mike Bordick. You'd bring a lawn chair, watch the game for free (donation bucket would be passed through the crowd) and you'd enjoy a hot dog from the vendors at the park.

Then there were the trips to Fenway Park with my Dad, including always getting lost in Boston. We also went to the Maine Guides games in Old Orchard Beach and then the Portland Sea Dogs!

More recently, my best friend and I, planned trips to see Boston on the road. We booked trips with a local tour company to see Boston in Philadelphia and one year we went to Baltimore.

I love the ballpark in Philadelphia! There is not a bad seat in the ballpark! Plus the food, cheese steaks are unbelievably awesome! Plus, with the trip, you get time to visit the city and take part in the nightlife.

Baltimore's Camden Yards was also a great ballpark and the area around the ballpark is very fan friendly.

This afternoon, join B-98.5 with Randy McCoy and Sharon Buck, at the Pointe Afta in Winslow starting at 2:30. We'll be watching Boston and Baltimore. We will have a pair of box seats, behind home plate for the April 6th game at Fenway Park! Come hungry and enjoy their 'Ballpark Buffet' with wings, hot dogs, pizza, fried dough and more all for only $9.99!

Even though we are experiencing ice and sleet this morning, enjoy, baseball is back!
