Harrison Middle School in Yarmouth Needs Your Votes

Harrison Middle School in Yarmouth, is in the running for a national competition that could help their school and Maine's fishing industry.It began as a challenge to science, technology, engineering and math students, or STEM programs, around the country.

The nationwide competition is underway at the Harrison Middle School is in the top fifteen with hopes of winning the big prize!

It's all part of the Samsung challenge called 'Solve for Tomorrow.'

The students have made a three-minute video that explains how the invasive green crabs in Maine are eating more and more juvenile clams. They have charts showing how the number of juvenile clams has dropped sharply, and the number of invasive crabs have increased.

If the Harrison Middle School finishes in the top five of the voting, they'll be in the running to win a $135,000 technology prize for their school.
