Nope, it's not a euphemism for something else...  There really are pink pineapples now!

According to ABC News, genetically modified pink pineapples are now in stores and social media is going nuts for them!

The FDA approved the sale of them at the end of last year, explaining the color change was created by using Lycopene, the pigment that makes tomatoes red and watermelons pink, to change the enzymes that make pineapples yellow. The new pineapple species, officially dubbed Ananas comosus and unofficially known as “Rosé,” is supposedly sweeter than a regular pineapple.

I bet you could make a mean pina colada with them!
