Heating Oil Prices Lower As 2014 Comes To A Close

I think we can all agree that it's a Christmas miracle, home heating prices in Maine continue to drop as we head into the final week of 2014.

According to the Governor's Energy Office, the average price for heating oil in Maine is at $2.79 a gallon according to the December 22 survey. That is 7 cents lower than last week. Kerosene prices also dropped 7 cents a gallon for an average of $3.37. Propane also was down 4 cents a gallon for an average of $2.73.

This time last year heating oil averaged $3.72 per gallon and kerosene was at $4.12 per gallon and propane this time last year was $ 3.12 per gallon.
