It has been an extremely cold and snow-filled winter and Mainers are bracing for a classic Nor'easter. The National Weather Service currently has a winter storm watch for our area, likely to be upgraded to a winter storm warning as the storm draws closer. While we have had our fair share of snow, many of the storms have featured a fairly light, fluffy snow that was easy to shovel. This won't be the case with this storm. Expect heavy, wet snow with some mixing of sleet, freezing rain and rain along the coast.

Central Maine should see the snow begin mid-day on Thursday and the storm is set to wrap up during the mid-day on Friday, with many in Maine getting at least a foot of snow or more.
